Girl’s Night Out is an event held the third Thursday of each month at a plant base product boutique store in Bedford New Hampshire. It is a fun monthly event that offers many holistic services such as Reiki, Feng Shui, all natural make overs, massages, etc. I offer mini psychic readings for clients. Each month at this event I meet wonderful women, who are looking for clarity in their life, or to hear from a loved one. This particular night was very special. When I arrived at the store I was met with a surprise.
The room in which I do my readings had been painted a bright and warm green and cantaloupe, and was accented with an area rug, painting, and table cloth that brightened, and warmed the heart of anyone who entered. What a wonderful surprise of abundance. However, that wasn’t the only abundance I would receive that night.
The event goes from 4pm to 7pm. After reading my first client, I looked at the clipboard to see who was signed up for the next reading; it was Deb Gagnon. Her name immediately rose off the page and was very recognizable and one I knew I would not forget. Bright eyes and big smile, she was ready for her reading. I greeted her and we walked to the newly decorated room.
Whenever I do readings I ask the client why are they here and what do they want to accomplish? I provided the short list of what I do and how, and waited for her answer.
“I want to speak with someone.”
“What is her name?”
“Marie.”
I paused to psychically hone in to Marie.
“I see a woman with dark brown hair that is slightly curly.” I looked to Deb for confirmation. She shook her head no.
“I get 36. Was she thirty six? Does the number 36 mean anything?”
“No.”
“I get Lowell, Massachusetts. Does that mean anything?”
“No. I don’t know anyone from Mass. We’re all from this area.” I was striking out badly. Frustration was setting in.
“I can only tell you what I get.” A book with pages flipping appeared in my psychic vision. “Was she a reader? Did she like to read?”
“No, not really.” Embarrassed at so many false reads I took a look again.
“Ankles, I see ankles. Does that mean anything?”
“No.” I was beyond frustrated and feeling absolutely horrible. I appreciated Deb’s patience with my unreliable information. We had eight minutes left to our session. The thought of her leaving without making contact weighed on my thoughts. I had to force myself to stay clear so I could find Marie. I would never charge anyone for a session where I couldn’t produce something viable and healing for them. I was ready to throw in the towel when Marie appeared.
Then I heard a big laugh! Marie had in reality television fashion, punk’d me! I wanted to make sure it was her, and not another decoy.
“I asked if Marie was a loud mouth?”
“Yes.”
“Is she a jokester?”
“Yes.”
My shoulders finally relaxed. I could breathe again. Marie was testing me. Making sure I would tell the truth as I saw it. Her laughter meant I passed her test.
I then began the real reading.
“She wants you to know her hair was back. She can eat again, and she’s happy…Mohegan. Did you go to Mohegan and Foxwoods?
“Yes.”
“Marie wants you to take the trip to Vegas-and to stay at the Bellagio. Marie asked if anything happened to your phone?” Deb’s face lit up, her eyes beamed in surprise.
“I got goose bumps” Deb laid her right arm on the table to show me her goose bumps.
“Marie said to tell you the hardest thing she had to do was leave her kids. She wants you to know she’s still around. She also wants you to know that if you hear alarms, chimes sounding that it’s her.”
“Ask Marie if she heard the family news?” I had no idea what that question meant. I could only hope Marie would provide clarification.
“Marie said to tell you, she heard the news before you…Marie said it was time for you to go, so someone else can have a turn.”
“Does Marie know who is next?” Marie’s next answer didn’t answer the question for me, but Deb knew exactly what she meant.
“Smart ass!” Occasionally I get beings who maintain the same sharp personality they had when they were on the physical plane. Marie was definitely one of them; she was sharp tongued, loving, passionate, no nonsense and a big jokester!
Our session ended successfully. Deb heard from Marie. Mission accomplished. I thought. The next session I would soon learn was Marie’s daughter. True to form Marie played another joke on me during the session with her daughter. As I delivered Marie’s messages to my next client, I had no idea they were related. It wasn’t until, Marie referred to herself as “Auntie” that my client announced, Marie was her mother and that “Auntie” was a name the children at Marie’s daycare called her. The jokester strikes again!
At seven thirty my sessions were done for the evening. I felt blessed and relieved that I was able to provide helpful information to those I met. When I went out front to collect for the one session the store received via credit card, Deb and a few other practitioners were still there. Deb was paying for her product. She thanked me again for her reading and headed for the door and then stopped.
“Can I tell you what happened with the phone? You mentioned Marie did something with my phone. Can I tell you what she did? Do you have a moment?”
“Of course.” Mindful of not broadcasting her experience to others we huddled near the door.
“Every year, Marie, Tammy, (Marie’s daughter), and I would pick an animal to be our good luck charm for when we went to the casino together. One year we used roosters because Marie was Greek, and believed roosters brought good luck. After years of not having luck with the rooster, we picked lady bugs. We wore lady bugs and rubbed lady bugs when we pulled the slot machines.
When I learned my niece was pregnant, I wanted to go to Target to shop for a baby gift. I told Marie, I wanted her to go shopping with me. When I arrived at Target’s children’s department, all I saw was ladybugs and began taking pictures.” Deb dug in her purse and removed her phone. It was a flip phone like mine. Simple, uncomplicated, and equipped with camera that only operated when the phone was opened. The control button in the center of the phone has to be pressed in order to take a picture.
I watched as she pulled up a series of pictures of lady bugs on baby’s clothing. There were about eight pictures in all. As I looked at the pictures, nothing seemed out of the ordinary. Each picture was of a different article of clothing with a lady bug on it.
“Then I decided to go look in the shoe department for a pair of sandals. I put my phone in the purse. As I was reaching for the sandals, I heard my phone make the sound for when it takes a picture. It didn’t make sense to me, because my phone was closed and in my purse. When I reached in my purse to remove my phone to look at it, I heard another photo clicking sound. When I opened my phone, I saw that two pictures had been taken. The first picture looked like this.”
She highlighted the next picture and it came up on her screen. The picture was completely dark except for a scratch of light in the center of the screen.
“Marie took that picture. She also took this one of me reaching into my bag for my phone.” Deb brought up the next picture. It clearly showed Deb outside of her purse looking in and reaching for her phone.
I didn’t doubt her story for one second. After the shenanigans during her reading with Marie I knew Marie was determined to make her presence known. In our little huddle we giggled like we just found a buried treasure.
“Would you mind if I write about your experience? I have a section in my Blog called Altered States in which I share stories about little miracles and psychic phenomenon.”
“That would be awesome!” Suddenly it was my turn.
“I had a similar experience.” I knew she would understand and appreciate what I was about to tell her. “I have a spirit guide named, Standing Bear. He loves bells, alarm clocks, anything that he can make ring.
I was at an eye doctor’s appointment. My doctor commented that my vision had change. He informed me that it seemed my stigmatism was gone and that my vision had returned to 20/20. I told him about my psychic experiences, and he thought there might be a correlation.
He turned off the lights to examine my eyes again, with a light that looks directly into the eye. As he leaned in close to my face to examine my left eye, I saw Standing Bear playing with a vision wheel. The bull’s eye target wheel was spinning slowly. I started laughing. I had to explain to the doctor I was laughing at Standing Bear playing with the vision wheel. He looked over his shoulder and saw the spin of the wheel slow down.
I told him, ‘Standing Bear loves bells and little things he can make move, but he really loves bells that he can ring.’ The doctor, smiled and resumed my eye examine placing the light in my right eye. Suddenly we heard the door bell to his office ring several times.
The examination office is part of the doctor’s home, but has a separate entrance that opens to a small waiting room, and then there is a door that opens from the waiting room to the examination room. The moment the exterior door chimed, I knew it was Standing Bear.
‘It’s Standing Bear playing with your door. He likes door bells.’
‘No, it’s my next patient. She’s early.’ The door bell rang a few more times and the doctor put his instrument down and walked around the corner to open the door to his waiting room. When he quickly returned I knew what he found.
‘There was no one there.’ He quickly picked up his light to dismiss my comment. I wasn’t letting him off that easy.
‘I told you it was Standing Bear.’ My doctor said nothing more, but looked deeper into my eyes.”
Deb and I smiled at each other for a moment, and then her cell phone released the sound of a door bell. We both screamed and moved in opposite directions and then came together again. The door bell chime on her cell phone alerted her of an incoming text, but we both knew that there was no coincidence in the timing of the door bell. Standing Bear was announcing he was listening.
To share such a wonderful, miraculous experience with someone I met only an hour ago was part of a divine plan. While the others who remained in the store watched us scream, cover our mouths and then come together thought we were acting a bit strange, Deb and I knew we made contact with beings we love, and they were loving us right back.
I thought our evening of miracles came to end when we parted, but Deb received another miracle when she got home. Her husband who was driving home about the same time, we were talking, heard a door bell chime behind his driver’s seat. He told her he ignored at first until he got home where he checked the back his car and found nothing that could have made that sound. Also, his cell phone did not offer a door bell chime as a ring tone.
When Deb arrived home, she couldn’t wait to tell her husband about her miraculous lady bug and doorbell stories. What Deb didn’t know, was that her husband had a miracle to share with her. They sat on their bed and exchanged stories.
“I’m so glad you had validation and you got what you were looking for from the psychic.” Her husband pulled her in to give Deb a hug. Deb had only one thought, one response for her husband.
“Now do you believe me?”
